![]() Well, it’s been a little while since we last gave you an update. We have been enjoying the (slightly erratic) summer weather, learning new songs and selling CDs left right and centre! ![]() After 2 lovely days at Haworth (one rainy, one sunny!) singing, dancing and playing on steam trains we we then preparing for a very exciting gig with a REAL PIANO and pianist Emma Pryde (who is also real) in St Peters Church in Cleethorpes. Emma Pryde: Emma began playing the piano as soon as she was tall enough to reach the keys, and especially loves accompanying singers. She believes a good cup of tea is a cure for everything. She enjoys dressing up and is an expert cake-taster. When not playing piano she can often be found walking on Ilkley Moor ba t’at reciting great literature. It was a gloriously sunny day when we all jumped in the Honey-mobile bright and early to get to Cleethorpes. We sung to a very full audience, who were all very friendly and attentive – the perfect kind! After all that, we ran off for a 10-minute beach visit and ice cream before hitting the road again back to Leeds. We truly loved working with Emma and hope very much to get to do it again very soon – what a talented lady! Thank you to all who came to support us; we hope to see you again soon. Horsforth is next in our diaries in a couple of weeks time! The Honeybirds. x
